Ajax is Home Now

Shortly after graduation from Robert Borden High School, Brandon Cook moved from Scarborough and became a resident of Ajax, Ontario and this is where he currently lives and trains. It was felt that bad influences in his life could be avoided by moving to a new place and allow him to focus on his future.

Started in 2005

Brandon was introduced to Boxing by his current boxing coach Mike Guyett after Mike watched Brandon fighting some local trouble makers and realized the potential Brandon had as a boxing professional.

Mike offered his services as a Boxing coach and the two have become a huge success in the world of Canadian Boxing.

Brandon was never one to shrink away from Bullies or people with bad attitudes and its one of the reasons for his success as a boxer.

Police Training

At 24, Brandon Cook made the decision to pursue his interest in law enforcement and enrolled into a Police Foundations Program at the Canadian Law Enforcement Training College. He was especially interested in the physical fitness & helping protect citizens aspect of that type of career.

Brandon successfully completed the requirements of the program and graduated with Honours in 2010.

32 Amateur fights

With the help of Mike Guyett, Brandon fought 32 opponents
during the start of his pre pro-career and during this time he developed his confidence, skills and determination. It was after his 32nd fight that both Brandon and Mike decided it was time to turn Professional.

Pro Tech

Besides being a professional boxer, Brandon Cook currently works as a Glazer with Pro Tech Glass Windows and Doors Ltd. which is a Canadian Corporation based in West Hill, Ontario.

This career has been beneficial to his boxing because of the flexible hours and the owners support of Brandon’s Boxing requirements.
